Delete your Noah account and data

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data from Noah. You can do this inside the app without contacting us. If you cannot use the app, you can email us at the bottom of this page.

Delete your account (if you signed in with Google)

If you created an account with Google Sign-In, follow these steps:

1. Open Noah on your Android phone.

2. Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation).

3. Scroll down and tap Delete account.

4. Read the confirmation screen.

5. Type DELETE in the box to confirm.

6. Optional: turn on Also erase this device? 

   • Off (default): your cloud account and backup are deleted, but verses, streak, and progress may remain on this phone.

   • On: your cloud account is deleted and local data on this phone is erased.

7. Tap Delete account.

Deletion starts immediately. You will be signed out.

Clear data without an account (guest mode)

If you use Noah without signing in, there is no cloud account. Your data is stored only on your device.

To erase it:

1. Open Noah.

2. Go to Profile.

3. Tap Clear local data.

4. Confirm Clear data.

Or uninstall the app from your phone. That removes local app data from the device.

What is deleted

When you delete your account (signed-in user), we delete:

• Your Google-linked account in Firebase Authentication

• Your cloud backup in Firebase, including:

  • Saved verses and categories

  • Practice progress, streak, hearts, and diamonds

  • Display name and handle

  • Study notes

  • Notification preferences synced to the cloud

  • Bible translation preference stored in your backup

If you turn on Also erase this device?, we also erase the same types of data stored locally on that phone.

What may be kept

• On your phone (if you did not turn on “Also erase this device?”): verses, streak, progress, and settings may remain on the device after the cloud account is deleted.

• Guest users: no cloud account exists; only local data on the device (see “Clear data without an account” above).

• Backups at our service providers: copies held in routine backup systems (for example Google Firebase) may take up to 90 days to be fully removed from backup storage, even after deletion from live systems.

• Legal or security records: we may keep minimal information if required by law or to prevent abuse (for example a record that a deletion request was processed). We do not keep your verses, notes, or practice history for marketing.

We do not sell your data. Noah has no public feed and does not share your verses with other users.

If you cannot access the app

Email us at YOUR_EMAIL@example.com with:

• Subject: Noah account deletion

• The Google email address you used to sign in (if you remember it)

• A short note that you want your account and associated data deleted

We will verify the request and delete the account and cloud data tied to that email, usually within 30 days. We may reply to confirm when deletion is complete.
