Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the mobile app Noah - Bible Memory (iOS and Android package com.noah.biblememorize, also called “Noah”) handles your information. Noah helps you memorize Bible verses with daily practice, streaks, and verses you choose. It is not a social network and has no public feed.

Noah is operated by the developer of the Noah - Bible Memory app listings.

Summary

  • You can use Noah as a guest. Guest data stays on your device.

  • Sign-in is optional. In this version, account sign-in is offered with Sign in with Apple so you can back up your progress. Google Sign-In is not available in this version.

  • We do not sell your data. We do not show ads in the app.

  • Reminders are scheduled on your phone. We do not send marketing email.

  • You can delete your account and/or erase data on the device in Profile.

Information we process

Data on your device (guest and signed-in)

The app stores the following locally so the app can work offline:

  • Bible verses you save and practice

  • Practice progress, categories, and study notes you write

  • Streak, practiced days, freeze days, hearts, and diamonds

  • Display name, handle, and Bible translation preference

  • Reminder on/off choices and reminder times, if you turn reminders on

Scripture text used for practice is stored in the app on the device (local database). That is published Bible content, not your personal writing, except for notes you type yourself.

Account data (only if you sign in with Apple)

Sign-in is optional. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive from Apple the identifiers needed to create or restore your account, which may include:

  • Apple user ID (a stable identifier for your Apple account in this app)

  • Email address, if you share it — or a private relay address if you use Hide My Email

  • Name, if you choose to provide it

We use Firebase Authentication (Apple provider) to keep you signed in. The same app data listed above can then sync to Firebase (Cloud Firestore) under your user ID so it can restore after reinstall or a new phone. Cloud data is stored so that only your signed-in account can read or write it.

Google Sign-In is not offered in this version of Noah. We do not receive Google account IDs, Google emails, or Google profile photos through Noah’s sign-in flow.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Noah schedules local reminders on the device (for example practice, streak, or hearts). These are not marketing messages and are not sent from our servers as push campaigns. You can turn them off in Profile or in system settings.

Technical data from Apple / Google / the stores

Apple (App Store / Sign in with Apple) and Google Play may process device and security information under their own policies:

We do not run a separate advertising or analytics SDK in Noah.

How we use information

  • To provide memorization, progress, streaks, and your verse lists

  • To restore your data if you sign in

  • To schedule reminders you opted into

  • To let you delete your account or erase local data

We do not use your verses, notes, or progress to train public AI models.

Legal bases (EEA / UK, if they apply)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract / requested service: running the app you installed

  • Consent: optional Sign in with Apple, optional notifications

  • Legitimate interests: keeping the app secure and functioning

You may withdraw consent by signing out, deleting the account, or turning notifications off.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your verses or notes with other users.

Processors we use when you sign in:

  • Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple and App Store distribution

  • Google Firebase — Authentication and Cloud Firestore backup

  • Google Play — Android distribution (store infrastructure only; not used for Noah account sign-in in this version)

Those companies process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the app and users from abuse or security incidents.

Retention

  • Guest: data stays on the device until you clear it or uninstall the app.

  • Signed in: cloud backup stays until you delete the account.

After account deletion we remove the Firebase Auth user and the cloud copy tied to that user. Residual copies in backups may expire on the provider’s normal backup cycle.

Your choices

In the app, go to Profile:

  • Use Noah without an account (guest)

  • Sign in or sign out with Apple

  • Turn reminders on or off

  • Delete account (signed-in): removes the Apple-linked account and cloud backup. You can also erase data on this device.

  • Clear local data (guest or after sign-out): erases progress stored on this phone

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to processing. Email: noahmemory.app@gmail.com. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Noah is a Bible memorization tool. It is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended as a children’s social product. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Permissions

  • Notifications (optional) — local reminders you enable

  • Exact alarms / boot completed (Android) — so reminders can reschedule after reboot

Noah does not use the camera or microphone.

International transfers

If you sign in, Apple / Google Firebase may store data in the United States or other countries. Those transfers follow their contracts and safeguards.

Security

Cloud data is limited to your signed-in user ID. Guest data never leaves the device through Noah’s backup. No method of storage is 100% secure; please keep your Apple ID protected.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Noah after an update means you accept the revised policy.
